We have opening for QA Engineer position with our company.
Job Design:
1. Perform assigned test and evaluation activities which include writing test plans, developing test cases, executing test plans and writing test reports.
2. Identify and suggest improvements to the test and evaluation process that will either improve product quality, and/or reduce cycle time.
3. Willing to assist test engineers in other test and evaluation activities and in implementing improvements to the test and evaluation process.
4. Effectively articulate technical issues to testers, developers, and managers.
5. Provide test status to management.
6. Maintain effective communication with Developers, the Software Test Manager, and other Development and Product personnel to ensure that relevant information is shared in a timely manner.
7. Work with Development and Product Team members to investigate and reproduce possible test defects.
8. Work cooperatively with members of the technical staff to track, document and resolve all software defects in a timely manner.
9. Assist in the development of test schedules and resource estimates.
10. Manage time and priorities in an effort to meet all established testing schedules and deadlines.
11. Plan from beginning to end with some supervision the execution of multiple tasks.
12. Participate effectively in weekly team meetings.
13. Heavy Test Automation using Visual Studio 2008
14. Ability to perform SQL queries in relational databases
Required Attributes:
1. VB Scripting, Ruby, or .Net coding experience.
2. Experience with VS2005/VS2008 Testing Team Edition Scripting
3. One year Experience with Watir or Selinium
4. Minimum of 2 years software test experience.
Experience in Microsoft Windows environments (NT/2000/XP).
Experience in Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook).
Must be able to demonstrate an ability to learn our customer’s products, as required, to perform effective product validation.
Must be able to receive instruction and execute based on that instruction.
5. Familiarity with defect tracking tools.
6. Must be knowledgeable about the SDLC.
7. Demonstrated experience with software test methodologies and engineering design principles
8. Continue to improve the software development and testing process to ensure high quality applications
9. Proven experience with testing methodologies.
10. Working knowledge of database applications and client-server technology is required.
11. Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required.
12. Understanding of Oracle databases.
